Culturama 2019 Japan

LO1-Identify their own strengths and develop areas for growth.

LO5-Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively.

This is my third year doing Culturama and I have joined the Japanese dance. The dances are traditional called Yosakoi dance and this was a new type of dance that I have done before. But from my experiences in Culturama in the previous years, I was able to learn quicker than the previous years. I have been working together with small group peers in my group sometimes during practice sessions to go over the choreography. However, I have not remembered all of the dances so my goal now is to try to work on it more at home to remember the choreography perfectly. I think the areas I could work on is to extend my arms and legs fully so that not only I remember the dance but it looks better. I was able to use my experience from previous years and so we were working collaboratively from the start which I think is making the whole experience better. Below is a video of our practice.
