For Global Perspectives, I had to make a Mandala to show the things that define my identity for the very topic of ‘Identity’. I got a 14/15, and only lacked in my style of writing as I was verbose. Furthermore, the confusing language made it difficult to go through the essay. By trying newer things in English class, I have worked on my flow of writing and tried new types of writing. I need to summarize better, needed to be more related to the topic, and could have gone into more depth. My goal is to achieve excellence in English and try to use informal language in these essays – avoid flowery language. I should also try to implement multiple perspectives for the reasons I picked my examples, and explain my philosophies, showing I care about my examples.
