There were many things that I learned about physical wellbeing in this unit that I would like to apply to my daily life to make sure that my physical wellbeing is balanced. The 3 strands of physical wellbeing that we learned about in this unit were sleep, eating healthy and exercising.

Sleep is a crucial part of our lives and everyone needs a recommended amount of sleep every day to supply them with energy. I learned that the average teenager needs an average of 8 to 10 hours of sleep each night. Getting enough sleep is crucial for me because it means that I will be more energetic the next day and will have more potential for learning because if I am tired, I won’t want to sit down in class.

Eating healthy foods is another important part of physical wellbeing, because not only does it provide you with nutrients but it gives your body energy. Eating fruits and vegetables is something that I want to get better at and eating fewer things that have unhealthy things like oil and sugar.

Exercising is the final strand of physical wellbeing and is very important because it reduces the risk of getting certain diseases and keeps you fit. Exercising is something that I usually don’t make time for because of school work and other things, but I want to make it a crucial part of my life to make sure that I am fit.
