Since we are currently working on political cartoons in English, I wanted to discover more about the importance and need for political cartoons. Firstly, political cartoons are often very humorous, as they bring a satirical version of reality to the eyes of the audience. I think that the main purpose of political cartoons is to make the audience think about the current events while also persuading the audience to think about the situation from the cartoonist’s eye.
The power of persuasion is so impactful when we are generally reading any texts, however, I think that political cartoons are the most persuasive. They have the power to influence many things, unlike texts. Their wild hyperbolic cartoons are related to audiences in ways texts cannot.
