Myers-Briggs personality test reflection

I am quite surprised to see how accurate the personality test is considering I had quite a hard time deciding between all the options. I was given the personality type ENTP and although not everything was complexly accurate, most of what they said was accurate and I noticed that I tend to do a lot of what they were saying. It was mentioned that I overcompensate and am not organised in terms of my time management and I have noticed this during the past week as well as the weeks before break. I am glad that I have been able to identify it because it is a huge problem as there is a lot of work from school and I also have other commitments. Moving forward, I want to focus on this as the main issue and think of ways to tackle it so I can spend less time stressing and instead do things I enjoy.

Careers related to my personality type are quite innovative and creative. They have a lot to do with problem-solving and I think they all match my personality quite well because often when I think about jobs, I look for something which will keep me engaged for a long time. I enjoy thinking of solutions to problems and I feel like since I get bored quite easily, new problems will be a good way for me to maintain focus and interest in what I am doing. The 3 strengths I have with my personality type is enthusiasm, ability to express myself and creativity. I think that these 3 all tie in together and make it quite easy for me to adapt and throw myself into situations. Barak Obama and Karl Lagerfeld are some famous people who have the same personality type. I think that both these people have overcome challenges in their careers and are quite good at coming up with solutions for the benefit of everyone.

Initial thoughts and first reflection on voices for refugees

I joined voices for refugees (VFR) last year and have really enjoyed the experience so decided to join it again this year. During my time at UWC, I have been involved with quite a few global concerns and focus groups however none of them actually achieved anything in the same way that VFR is. I have noticed that VFR is very eager to make plans to raise awareness for refugees and to make a change and instead of merely thinking of ideas, they follow through by making a plan to ensure that the certain event is carried out. Personally, its quite beneficial for me to see the change we are making because that way, I know that all our hard work is going towards making substantial change. We have a big event called write for rights in which students write letters to people of power hoping to make a change regarding refugee issues. Members of the focus group usually stay in school for 24 hours however I did not participate in this last year as I was not part of the group yet. I look forward to participating in this event this year because I think it will be quite a unique experience. This year, I would also like to take on more leadership in the group and work more specifically on certain projects I am most interested in.
