For my Mock IO, I had to present it to Kinley and Jia, two of my classmates.

Reflection:

During the mock IO, I noticed that I needed the time limit that I had. My presentation went over by 30 seconds when it was only supposed to be 10 minutes. I also noticed that I needed more practice time.  Also, for my analysis and research, I personally think I could have done better like do deeper research about Dove and linking both the texts better.

Feedback:

According to them, they said I kind of repeated what I said, for example, global question. I also feel the same as well. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to link them back to the question and kept reminding them what my question was and how they are linked.

Also, they said not to be consistent with my words and just speak freely as if I am talking to a friend. I agree with that feedback as well. Because when I speak, I tend to forget what I am saying sometimes so I practice with the script in order to cover everything that I want. However, that backfired on me during the IO.

Improvements:

• practice on my free talking instead of following strictly to the script.
• have a better sense of time.
• Practice whenever get a chance.
