CAS Project – SUNDAC – Stages 3 and 4

Action

The overall experience was extremely rewarding as it was a form of direct service. I had the opportunity to directly engage and work with the clients at the SUNDAC centre which made the work more fulfilling as I was able to receive direct feedback about what we needed to improve for the next session. It was also useful to receive direct feedback from the centre and the clients as it showed me the immediate impact that the work I was doing was having on the clients. It was a rewarding experience to see them following along with the ideas that we had planned and to hear their positive feedback for the sessions.

Reflection

Overall the process has been a very enjoyable and rewarding experience. I have been able to develop my relationship with the SUNDAC centre while also being able to enhance my leadership skills as well. I have learned the importance of organization as I have been communicating with the students in school as well as coordinating with the SUNDAC centre. I have also gained a better understanding of how to work with PWIDs and how to help them integrate into society better. I have had the opportunity to develop my leadership and planning skills as well since I have had to be organized to lead the group of students I work with.
