So far I think that my EE has been a real mix of results. My supervisor told me that I had many points that were really good for justifying my research. However, my structure was not well done because of a few misunderstandings in concepts, for example putting musical structure points into another criteria like musical tonality – it was everywhere! After having the RC2 we were able to come up with a document with pointers to help me better structure my first draft. And I believe that they are all very achievable and I can’t wait to sit down and get them down well! I have also been told to embed more references in my essay, I think this is something crucial that I missed on – because it allows us to reference back and be able to better justify and make our points more compelling. Overall, I think that I have gained a deeper understanding of new cultural music.
